Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Alpha Sigma Alpha family! For the past 18 or so years, you've been the primary influence in your daughter's life. You've taught her, guided her, and watched her grow into the woman she is today! As Alpha Sigma Alpha's we are proud to have the opportunity to pursue a higher education, and we feel honored to share this time with your daughter - our sister. We know these years require a balance between scholarship and social health, and our membership development program is a proven method to make the most of your daughter's time in Alpha Sigma Alpha.

As an Alpha Sigma Alpha, your daughter will:

-
Form Lifelong Bonds: Alpha Sigma Alpha's friendships are built around a common set of core values such as balance, generosity, growth, integrity, learning, relationships, responsibility, and enjoyment.
-
Grow into a Woman that is Poised and Purposed: We learn to build one another up toward achieving our personal best. That begins with agreed upon "right behaviors" including a zero-tolerance policy against hazing in any form.
-
Develop Leadership Skills: Opportunities to work with others are numerous in Alpha Sigma Alpha. Whether your daughter serves in an executive board position, is a chairwoman, or part of a committee within her chapter- we'll provide her with resources, training and mentoring to aid in her personal development.
-
Serve Others in the Community: Your daughter will be part of our outstanding partnerships with the Special Olympics, S. June Smith Center, Girls on the Run Inc., Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation, and the Unicorn Center. In 2016 alone, we raised $18,000 for the Special Olympics of Texas, along with numerous items donated in drives to the S. June Smith Center and Girls on the Run, and the many hours we spent at the Unicorn Center. We believe that to "love life and joyously live each day to its ultimate good," one must be generous with her time and devotion to others.

Events for Parents:
Twice a year, we take time to honor the men and women who shaped us into the women we are today with a "Dad's Day" and "Mom's Day". We can't wait to see you there!
